MTV Networks Asia has appointed Harry Hui as general manager to oversee the markets of China, the SAR and Taiwan.

  Mr Hui, formerly a vice-president of Warner Chappell Music, will be based in Hong Kong as senior vice-president, general manager, MTV Mandarin.

  Meanwhile, Sunil Lulla has been promoted to vice-president, general manager, MTV India.

Hang Seng Bank has announced the promotion of three executives to the rank of senior manager and the appointment of a senior manager of the audit division.

  Lau Shun-chuen has moved up to senior manager, trade finance, in the corporate banking division, and Luciano Ma has been promoted to senior manager and head of credit and investment services.

   Anthony Kam, who is the country manager in Singapore, has also been promoted to senior manager.

   Betty Chan has been appointed senior manager and head of the audit division.

Public relations firm Shandwick International has announced a number of senior management appointments.

  Charles Lankester, currently managing director of the Singapore operation, becomes regional director for Asia.

   In his new position, Mr Lankester will be responsible for managing offices in markets which include China, the SAR, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand.

  Michael Murphy, currently regional director of Shandwick Asia, has been appointed managing director, Shandwick UK.

  Mr Murphy replaces Colin Trusler, who has been appointed to the new position of group operations director. He will focus on global operational and financial performance improvement and strategic and budget planning.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Knut Becker as group operations manager.

   Mr Becker moves to the head office in Hong Kong from his previous position as food and beverage manager at Hotel Majapahit, Mandarin Oriental, Surabaya.

Steve Lo, chief executive of JOS Technology Group, which is a member of the Jardine Pacific group, has been appointed as a director of the mother company.

 He will join the senior management team responsible for providing strategic direction for Jardine Pacific.

Teledata, a leading systems integrator and call centre specialist, has appointed Duncan Cheung as general manager for its Hong Kong operations.

   Mr Cheung was formerly with Hitachi Data Systems in Hong Kong where he was manager, professional services.

Ede Charlton, a member of the Arthur Andersen international network of law firms, has expanded its corporate and finance group with the appointment of Philip Millward, a specialist in investment funds law in Hong Kong and internationally.

  Mr Millward started his career with Stephenson Harwood in London before being seconded to Hong Kong where he spent three years with Stephenson Harwood & Lo.

  Ede Charlton also announced the appointment of Gavin Nesbitt as a partner in the corporate and finance group. Mr Nesbitt was previously a partner at Holman, Fenwick & Willan in Hong Kong.

KPMG Hong Kong has announced the appointment of Steve Bingle as director.

  Mr Bingle has rejoined KPMG as director of the financial business unit which provides non-audit advisory services to the financial services industry.

  Before rejoining KPMG, he was a client partner in AT & T Solutions' regional consulting practice where he was responsible for the financial services industry.

HSBC Provident Fund Services, the Mandatory Provident Fund division of the HSBC Group, has appointed Jonathan Watkin as assistant general manager, MPF product development.

    Mr Watkin will be responsible for marketing and legal aspects of the proposed Mandatory Provident Fund scheme.
