A final decision on The Frontier's election arrangements for the New Territories West geographical constituency will be delayed to allow more time for candidates to join the list.

Convenor Emily Lau Wai-hing said after a special general meeting yesterday that members had agreed to keep nominations on the list open.

This came after unionist Leung Yiu-chung decided to run in the constituency on a separate ticket.

Mr Leung announced a failure to reconcile election plans with his fellow unionist Lee Cheuk-yan on Friday.

Mr Lee will now head The Frontier's New Territories West constituency ticket and the group will not rule out a mixed list with the Confederation of Trade Unions, which Mr Lee also represents.

Mr Lee said last night it was better to have another person running in the election with him.
