BARING International Fund Managers is launching a new open-ended investment fund covering Latin American equities. The Dublin-domiciled fund will form part of the Baring Emerging Markets umbrella fund established last year. Fund management will be based in Boston. The Latin America fund begins today with a fixed price of US$10.50, inclusive of preliminary charges for two weeks to April 2, with a minimum investment of US$1,000. Manager Terence Mahoney said: ''Moves towards democracy in most Latin American countries are making it a more politically stable area and the adoption of free-market policies will contribute to the region's future economic growth.''
