Male strippers reveal social problems
The Full Monty is a comedy but it taps other emotions. Set in Sheffield, northern England, it tells the tale of six out-of-work steelworkers who try to escape from their dire financial circumstances by forming a very unlikely strip act. While a comedy, this Oscar-nominated movie examines the social changes brought about by the closure of the steelworks in the late 1980s.
It's showing at Broadway Cinematheque, Broadway Kwai Fong, Silvercord, GV Mongkok, GV Hollywood, UA Sha Tin and UA Times Square.
