JF fund aims for high yield in US bonds

Jardine Fleming Unit Trusts yesterday launched a global high-yield bond fund that will invest in corporate bonds from the United States and other developed countries.

Director Patrick Wong Kwai-sun said: 'The global investment outlook is extremely favourable for bonds, because inflationary pressures are easing in the world's major economies as a result of cheaper Asian imports.

'So key interest rates are likely to stay flat and may even fall.' The offer price at launch, including the initial charge, is US$10.31.

Annual management fee is 1.35 per cent.
