Madam Justice Clare-Marie Beeson urged authorities to investigate the Shau Kei Wan service station that sold a bucket of petrol to Cheung Yuk-king. 'This is a matter of great concern. The bucket should be held [as evidence] until an inquiry is made into the rights and wrongs of the petrol station involved,' she said. Cheung bought 9.25 litres of petrol at the Caltex station near her Sai Wan Ho Street home. Outside court, Detective Senior Inspector Lam Pui-kin said service station staff had breached by-laws by failing to take Cheung's identity card number. Records should be kept of all customers purchasing fuel in containers, he said.
