Staff sacked at Kowloon Panda Hotel

Eighteen employees of the Kowloon Panda Hotel have been dismissed for incompetence, but their positions will not be filled. A spokesman for the Tsuen Wan hotel, Anita Ko, said the sackings were the result of an annual performance evaluation. 'Supervisors had warned them before and said they were unsatisfactory and not improving,' she said. 'However, we are not replacing them.' The staff were from departments including housekeeping and food and beverage.
