Fownes seeks treble

TRAINER Lawrie Fownes and retained jockey Darren Gauci could very nearly take out the treble tonight with three solid each-way chances in the last three events. Barring rain Sky Horse will go close in the second and the improving Super Structure rates a top chance in the last leg. Music Magic could start the ball rolling for Fownes and the nine-year-old has been in sparkling form this year having already notched up two wins and two seconds. He may be getting long in the tooth now but has lost none of his dash and if can jump to the front in this 975 metres dash will take a lot of beating in the run to the line. The win could also propel trainer Fownes to the top of the trainers' ranks.
