Lam So-ying claims she and another pedestrian were knocked down when a car driven by Alain Jouy crashed into three stationary vehicles in King's Road, North Point, on November 24, 1995.

Ms Lam said the accident left her so scarred that people stared at her injuries.

'Ms Lam said she was walking on the pavement and a car ran into a parked car which ran into her and knocked her down,' the writ filed in the High Court claimed.

'She fell down but did not lose consciousness.' The writ said Mr Jouy first hit a van in the third lane of King's Road. He then drove on at high speed and hit another van before proceeding to crash into the back of the parked car.

That car spun round, hitting the passers-by, and smashed through the glass door of the Hong Kong Funeral Parlour.
