Questioning historical grasp

I found Victoria Finlay's article in the South China Morning Post, on March 13, to be extremely shallow and lacking any understanding of what history is all about.

What respectable history museum in the world would in March 1998 seek to allocate precious space, as she suggests, for such recent events as the 'economic decline of 1997-8' or the '1998 elections'? No doubt, in due time, an appropriate amount of space will be found for these events, but not now, please. For goodness' sake, they are not even over yet.
