Incoming Education Commission head Antony Leung Kam-chung and his predecessor, Professor Rosie Young Tse-tse, yesterday expressed different views on the body's role. The influential commission's function and powers should be redefined clearly, Professor Young said, saying its role was a grey area which sometimes overlapped with the work of other advisory committees. But Mr Leung, who takes over on April 1, said it was too early to say if its role should change.
