In his letter headlined, 'Angered by TV station's attitude' (South China Morning Post, March 11), D. C. Spicknell asks if there are any readers dissatisfied with the high-handed Cable TV.
Like Mr Spicknell, I had a bitter experience when I tried to air my grievances two years ago against the company's payment policy through its hotline. I was also snubbed by upper management.
I wrote a complaint letter to the company chairman and at the same time voiced my dissatisfaction through these columns. I was then given a lukewarm response which was far from satisfactory.
As a result I was disillusioned with its customer-unfriendliness and have withdrawn my patronage to the TV service since then. Perhaps the most powerful weapon to counteract high-handedness is to boycott the TV company.
