Asked to comment on talk-show host Albert Cheng King-hon's participation in the subsector election to the Election Committee, Mr Justice Woo said members of the entertainment industry were entitled to take part.

The performing arts grouping has 10 seats on the Election Committee.

Mr Justice Woo said it would be inappropriate if candidates used their jobs to promote their candidacies.

He said Cheng's participation was in accordance with the law.
