Motorola's Cellular Infrastructure Group has signed a US$43 million contract to expand the Global System for Mobile (GSM) communications network in Tianjin. The company said Tianjin Posts and Telecommunications Administration's GSM expansion project would increase the capacity of the network to nearly 760,000 subscribers from 360,000. Full deployment is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of this year.
