A Hong Kong woman was shot in the face on Taipa Island, Macau, last night.
Luk Ka, 38, was attacked by the gunman as she and husband Poon Wai-hei left a restaurant.
Mr Poon, a property agent who lives in Sha Tin, and his wife were said to be 'big-time' gamblers. They arrived in Macau at 4 pm yesterday and were attacked less than five hours later.
Reports said Ms Luk was shot in the left side of her face with the bullet exiting the right side of her jaw.
A motorist who saw Ms Luk bleeding from the face took her to the island's Marine Police base. She was then admitted to the Government Hospital.
Mr Poon told police he and his wife had checked into the Mandarin Oriental hotel before they went to a casino. After losing more than $100,000, they left the casino and went for dinner.
