Velvety Welsh sound

Welsh wonders Catatonia have released their long-awaited second album International Velvet.

This comes as their triumphant British top three single Mulder & Scully is blitzing the airwaves.

Produced in collaboration with Tommy D, the album features both hit singles, I Am The Mob and Mulder & Scully.

Warner Bros Music aims to get Catatonia's voice to a broader audience than that which heard the band's debut set Way Beyond Blue.

Warner Bros Music promotion officer Raymond Leung Wai-man said he was not satisfied with the sales of Catatonia's last album.

And he would not be satisfied until they reached a much greater goal, he said.

'We will continue to work on ground-level awareness and continue to build exponentially,' he said.
