Winners in the Schools Dance Festival will receive prizes and stage their performances from next week. The 34th festival, run by the Education Department, the Provisional Urban Council, the Provisional Regional Council and the Hong Kong Schools Dance Association, drew more than 5,000 students from 270 schools. Winner of the Secondary School Section was S H K Bishop Mok Sau Tseng, with the Primary School Section award going to St Paul's Convent. Secondary runners-up were Bishop Hall Jubilee School, Sacred Heart Canossian School and St Paul's Convent. Runners-up in the Primary School Section were Sam Shui Natives' Association (AM), Yau Ma Tei Catholic Primary (PM) and Hong Kong Taoist Association Ng Lai Wo Memorial (AM). Performances will be staged over two nights at the Sha Tin Town Hall on April 9-10, and the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre on April 20-21.
