CNPC buys Nigerian oil sites

The Chinese National Petroleum Corp is to acquire two oil production blocks held by a subsidiary of state-run Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. Thisday newspaper said the two blocks, OML 64 and OML 66, covering 429 square kilometres and located in Nigeria's main oil-producing Niger Delta region, were held by Nigerian Petroleum Development. The paper said the agreement to transfer the fields was awaiting only the approval of Petroleum Minister Dan Etete.
