The Cleveland Orchestra conducted by musical director Christoph von Dohnanyi will be performing in Hong Kong. Founded in 1918, it is considered one of the United States' best orchestras. It is also hailed as an outstanding orchestra-conductor partnership. Jointly presented by the two provisional municipal councils, the Cleveland Orchestra will perform at the Auditorium of Sha Tin Town Hall and Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on May 24 and 26 respectively at 8 pm. The May 24 programme includes Bartok's Divertimento , Strauss' Till Eulenspiegels Iustige Streiche, Op 28 and Dvorak's Symphony No 9 in E minor From the New World, Op 95 . On May 26 they will perform Ives' The Unanswered Question, Mozart's Symphony No 40 in G minor, K 550 and Brahms' Symphony No 2 in D, Op 73. Tickets are available at Urbtix outlets.
