A VIETNAMESE man who denied being wounded by a fellow camp inmate during a District Court trial, yesterday appeared in Eastern Court charged with perjury.

Phung Van Khanh, 25, is accused of making a statement which he knew to be false during the trial of Nguyen Van Phi for wounding with intent last October, namely that Nguyen was not one of the men who wounded him at Pillar Point Vietnamese refugee camp on November 11, 1991.
Magistrate Mr Michael Hill ordered the latest case to be transferred to the District Court.
