A Provisional Urban Council scheme allowing users free access to multi-purpose rooms at its indoor games halls and squash courts has attracted more than 420 applications from schools and non-government organisations. A council spokesman said applications were still being accepted as the scheme - launched last September - would run until the end of June. He said: 'Under this scheme, schools and non-government organisations can use multi-purpose rooms at 25 indoor games halls and squash courts at 36 council facilities free of charge from 7 am to 5 pm on Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays. 'Interested parties should send written applications to respective venues, preferably two months in advance.' Facilities will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Inquiries can be made on 2309 1046.
