East and West in harmony at recital

Mixing Western and Chinese music was the theme at the Pro Musicis dinner at the Grand Hyatt. The event was aptly titled 'A Romance on Chopin and China'.

After feasting on Atlantic lobster salad, asparagus and roasted French chicken, guests were treated to a presentation of Western and Chinese music.

David Tang, chief of Pro Musicis, wrote the narration to accompany the piano and qin, a Chinese stringed instrument.

Pro Musicis provides gifted musicians with an international forum to express their talents and reaches out to the elderly, underprivileged and handicapped through concerts.
