Girl leaves video suicide message
A 17-year-old student taped a 15-minute video bidding her lover farewell and explaining her misery before she killed herself.
Koo Tin-wai, who lived with her parents in Tin Shui Wai, recorded herself on Good Friday sitting on a sofa in her boyfriend's flat. On the tape she told her lover, a 25-year-old Customs officer: 'I love you more and more every day. I hope you will do well in society in the years to come.' The tape is believed to show Koo swallowing several tablets.
Koo, wearing a T-shirt and shorts, was found on the floor of the Shekkipmei flat when her boyfriend returned from a trip to the mainland at about 6 pm yesterday.
A letter nearby, addressed to her mother, read: 'Sorry, mother, forgive me. Take care of yourself. I love you always.' Police classified the case as suicide, believed to be an overdose. A postmortem will be held.
