Wong finished 28th in the stage that featured a long uphill climb to a mountain park in Quezon province, 116 kms into the race, with a time of six hours, four minutes and 59 seconds.

The China National Game gold medalist is now 29th overall with a time of 18 hours, 42 minutes and 40 seconds - 33 minutes and 59 seconds behind leader Warren Davadilla of the Philippines.

Another Hong Kong rider Man Wai-chung finished 33rd yesterday in the same peloton as Wong and China's Pan Guangcun and Tang Xuezhong.

Hong Kong's Ho Siu-lun finished 63rd and Ng Kwok-wah 67th.
