Elec & Eltek forced to dismiss 140 in Hong Kong, Thailand

Elec & Eltek International, which makes electronic products such as printed circuit boards, has dismissed 140 of its staff in Hong Kong and Thailand. The group said it was forced to take the step after currency devaluations from the Asian turmoil had enabled Taiwanese and Korean manufacturers to reduce production costs and increase their competitiveness.
