PEOPLE are increasingly aware of the elections, a poll showed yesterday.

The survey, which was conducted by the University of Hong Kong Social Sciences Research Centre on Wednesday, found that 18 per cent of the 697 respondents knew that there were 20 geographically elected seats in the first legislature.
That figure represents a three percentage point rise on a poll carried out on April 7.
But a big surge was recorded in the number of people who knew the number of seats in their own constituencies.
More than 18 per cent got it right this time, compared to five per cent in February.
