Asia's largest business college, founded by the European Union to train mainland China's new generation of executives and managers, is moving to a new campus in Shanghai.
The flagship China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) project was launched three years ago in partnership with the city's municipal government.
The first 2,000 managers of the future graduated last year from its MBA and Executive MBA courses.
Due to booming demand which saw a doubling of the Executive MBA course last year, the number is expected to increase to 6,000 by the end of this year.
Construction on a new campus is now underway in the city's Pudong district.
It was designed by Pei Cobb Freed, the company founded by architect I. M. Pei, designer of the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong and the Louvre 'Pyramid' in Paris. The campus is expected to become an architectural landmark, incorporating the latest design and educational technology.
