The Life Insurance Council (LIC) and the General Insurance Council (GIC) have elected their new council members for the next 12 months. The LIC has 12 members, including American International Assurance's Alwin Lam, Manulife Insurance's Edward Lau, National Mutual's Terry Smith and the newly set up life insurer BOC Group Life Assurance's Chris Yew. The eight-member GIC council includes HSBC Insurance's Choy Chung-foo, Union Insurance Society of Hong Kong's Steven Lau and American International Underwriters' Ross Matthews.
