Associates buoy Asia Securities

Asia Securities International was saved from reporting a loss by a $22.6 million profit contribution from associate companies. Profit attributable to shareholders was $11.6 million, down 43 per cent from $20.5 million. Turnover fell 58 per cent to $235.2 million. The company reported an operating loss of $16.6 million compared with a $75.8 million operating profit previously. No dividend is being paid for last year.
