Two New Zealand Chinese men have been arrested for running illegal Internet fax services in Guangzhou, a report said yesterday. The New Zealand Embassy in Beijing was informed of the arrest. 'We are making enquiries in Guangdong and are still gathering details,' said Matthew Dalzell, second secretary at the embassy. He refused to give further details. The two men, identified as Mr Cao and Mr Liang, were arrested on March 17 in response to a public complaint over the illegal use of the Internet for fax services. It is the first such case involving foreign passport-holders on the mainland. Police raided three offices and seized computers, a printer and other materials.
