All-conquering Hong Kong hockey giants Shaheen are likely to blood new youngsters into the team next season after a highly successful season which concluded last Sunday.
'We hope more youngsters will join us. Our team is very young. Next season, we hope to keep our form and bring in new kids to help promote the sport here,' Shaheen midfielder Alfonso Cordero said.
Shaheen has an average age of just 17 but they have proven beyond doubt they are the best hockey team in Hong Kong.
The team will undergo summer training in preparation for December's Asian Games in Bangkok after capping their season by winning the FILA Cup at King's Park.
Cordero, who played a key role in the club's best-ever season, said the team would have no time to rest as they prepared for Bangkok.
'The season is over for us but we will still undergo some serious training for the Asian Games. We have now until December to prepare,' he said.
