Propelled to fame after being chosen as a VJ for MTV Mandarin, Stacey Hsu is now a household name in Taiwan, where her weekly show Most Wanted is watched by over 3.5 million households.

Former model Stacey says that to be a good video jockey 'one must have a good personality and be likeable - someone whom people will listen to'.

As her show is a special request programme, most viewers ask for male bands, with the Backstreet Boys topping the list. Jacky Cheung and Taiwanese singer A-Mei also get a fair hearing.

Stacey's own taste in music, however, is wide-ranging. 'I enjoy rhythm and blues, jazz and contemporary. Anyone from people like Babyface and Alanis Morissette to Ricky Martin and A-Mei.' Stacey has been offered film roles and says that acting is a possibility. But for now she will stay with the small screen and enjoy fan mail from admirers. 'Most people who write in are girls, who ask me about school and boyfriends. Some guys do write and enclose their phone numbers, but I never call them.'
