On May 24 I accompanied my husband when he went to vote.
On arrival he was shown the way to the Sheung Shui Wai polling station through a maze of corridors and I followed him.
In the room where the actual voting was taking place, I started studying the voting instructions on the noticeboard while waiting for him to cast his vote.
Then the staff inquired whether I was also going to vote and, when told I wouldn't (as I don't have the right to), ordered me to leave the room. I was trying to find out the reason, but was ushered outside, where I thought I could at least stand in the corridor under a canopy, as it was raining heavily. But no, the staff followed me outside and pointed to the exit and I had to go all the way out of the building.
After asking, in vain, for the reason to such rules, I gave up and left.
Now I would like to get some clarification.
