DESPITE conceding weight all round Win Tack looks set for back-to-back wins in the third event this evening in a race set aside for local riders.
Jackie C. K. Tse will take over from successful last start winning rider Tony Cruz and can keep up a 100 per cent winning record on the Wong Tang-ping trained horse.
Tse has ridden the horse only once previously, that being two seasons ago over 1,400 metres on a soft track, where the pair obliged.
It may be a little tougher tonight with Win Tack set to carry 140 lbs and stepping over 2,000 metres on the equitrack for the first time.
However those who watched his last start over a mile on the shifting surface could not have failed to be impressed by the manner in which he won.
Although he is stepping up in distance on the synthetic surface, he did run a solid race last season over 2,230 metres on the Valley turf, finishing second behind David Oughton's Thor Win, so he should not find the trip tonight totally alien to him.
