The proprietress of a dumpling shop was stabbed to death and her husband seriously hurt in an attack at their Wan Chai shop last night. Mak Chan Siu-ling, 38, who had two young children, suffered slash wounds to her chest and body and died shortly after admission to Tang Shiu Kin Hospital. Her husband, Mak Ming-kwong, 42, proprietor of the Ming Fat Beijing Dumpling shop in Triangle Street, who tried to stop the attack, suffered wounds to his back and arms. He was in a serious condition. The 30-year-old owner of a ham shop next to Mr Mak's, and his wife, 32, were being sought. The two women were due to appear in court on Thursday on disorderly conduct charges after a previous dispute.
