HEALTH chiefs are investigating a 'miracle cancer cure' its creator claims can kill the disease with a herbal potion or a cancer 'zapper'.

The book The Cure for All Cancers, by Hulda Regehr Clark, says that cancer is caused by a parasite. It claims patients can kill the parasite by drinking a mixture of black walnut hulls, wormwood and cloves.

Sufferers are also told to 'triple-zap daily until you are well' with a do-it-yourself nine-volt device the author claims will kill the parasites.

The book has been imported for sale in stores including the New Age Shop in Central and Tom Turk's Fitness Centre in Citibank Plaza.

Mr Turk said his gym had sold 'dozens' of copies. The book was banned in the United States, so he had gone to great lengths to import copies, he said.

'We are selling the anti-parasite mix which kills the parasite. You don't have cancer any more . . . 120 cases have been cured,' Mr Turk said.

'[Buyers] read the book, they make a decision. They decide if it's worth trying or not. If it does kill the parasite then it's a cure for cancer, then it works. I'm the lay person selling the book.' Eminent doctors say the book's claims are false and dangerous, and Department of Health officials are investigating whether it is illegal to sell the book and 'cure' mixture in Hong Kong.
