WE are being urged to protect the earth and the first step towards that is to improve Hongkong's environment. However, I have noticed that some companies in Hongkong are still using plastic bags. For example, often when I visit a baker's, I find that even if I only buy a few pieces of bread, staff put them into separate plastic bags. They should take a leaf out of the St Honore Cake Shop, which uses paper bags. Better still, use re-cycled paper. ISABELLA LEE North Point
