Merrill Lynch appoints new research head for Asia-Pacific

Merrill Lynch has named Adam Quinton as head of research for the Asia-Pacific. Mr Quinton, previously head of regional telecommunications research, replaces Michael Unsworth, who will become co-chief executive of Merrill Lynch Phatra Securities. Earlier this month, Merrill, the largest investment bank in the United States, said it would buy a 51 per cent stake in the Thai brokerage from parent Phatra Thanakit.
