Two outstanding students are flying to Japan to represent the SAR in the Japan Airlines Scholarship programme.
Hui Tat-yan, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Quinnie Yu Hoi- man, from the University of Hong Kong, join 34 students from all over Asia from July 19 until August 25.
Since its launch in 1975, the scholarship has given the region's tertiary students the opportunity to gain insights into Japanese culture and its people.
The recipients will first take a two-week course in Japanese conversation, and then attend the Asia Forum in Ishikawa.
They will also visit universities in Kyoto, Kumamoto and Kanazawa, do sightseeing, and enjoy home-stays with Japanese families.
Expenses - including travel, insurance, tuition, lodging and books - are paid by the airline.
