COLLIERS Jardine Management Limited was yesterday fined $10,000 after Eastern Court heard it allowed effluent to be released into Hongkong waters. The company admitted breaching the Water Pollution Control Ordinance in Shouson Hill in October last year, but said it had taken measures to ensure effluent would not be discharged again. Magistrate Mr Michael Hill ordered the $10,000 fine after hearing that the maximum penalty was $100,000.
