Cisco Systems, a United States-based maker of computer networks, plans to invest US$100 million in the mainland to recruit senior managerial staff and boost co-operation with communications service providers. Cisco also would use the funds to launch partnerships with mainland manufacturers and set up more laboratories and representative offices, Xinhua yesterday quoted Cisco chief executive officer John Chambers as saying. Cisco would recruit 200 employees to boost operations in key cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
