Language switch can help students

In September, most of Hong Kong's schools will switch to the mother tongue as their medium of education.

Some parents are worried that if their children study in such schools, their English will deteriorate and they will not do well in their public exams.

I do not agree with this point of view.

The standard of English of some children is not good.

If all their lessons are taught in English, they will have difficulty understanding what they are being told by the teacher.

This will hinder their ability to acquire knowledge and they will lose interest in learning.
