Protesters make demands

Protesters planning to chant anti-Beijing slogans on July 1 want police to pledge not to drown them out with music as they did on handover night. Activist Leung Kwok-hung said the April 5th Action Group wanted to meet top officers on Monday to discuss arrangements on the handover anniversary for their protest at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

'We'll demand the end of one-party rule and Jiang Zemin to step down for the June 4 incident,' he said.
