Marine insurance mutual the TT Club says Sam Ignarski, its first regional director in Asia, is to return to Britain to assume responsibility for the club's worldwide management.
Mr Ignarski succeeds David Martin-Clark, who has led the management operation for six years, overseeing a five-year regionalisation and development plan.
The TT Club's board consists of chief executives and senior managers drawn from the shipping, port and forwarding organisations that form its membership. It is managed by the Thomas Miller group.
Mr Ignarski is based in Hong Kong as chairman of Through Transport Mutual Services (Asia Pacific). The new appointment is effective from September. Mr Martin-Clark will continue as chairman of the Miller holding company for the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong.
