Three held over $3,000 herb scam

Three mainland women were arrested in Tai Po after an attempt to sell a 78-year-old woman a herb she was told could cure cataracts. The herb, which cost about $10, was being offered for $3,000.

The women, aged 36 to 38, arrived from Nanhai, Guangdong, on June 20. They were due to leave Hong Kong this Saturday.
