Robber stabbed victim

A YOUTH who stabbed a robbery victim was sent to a training centre yesterday.

Cheng Yuk-hei, 17, who is also serving a training centre order for another offence, pleaded guilty before Judge Caird in the District Court to robbery and assault with intent to rob.

The court heard that on January 11, Cheng tried to seize Mr Chan Sze-nga's watch in Hong Ning Road playground, Kwun Tong.

Mr Chan put up a struggle during which Cheng stabbed him in the shoulder with a penknife.

Cheng also admitted assault with intent to rob a couple near Yuet Wah Street, Kwun Tong, the next afternoon.
