Toscana in the Ritz-Carlton has a special 'Lunch time in Italy' every Saturday, and children under 10 years old can dine for free.

 Guests who miss the age limit have to pay $168 plus 10 per cent.

 The lunch includes pasta salad, antipasti buffet, made-to-order main course and dessert. Phone 2532-2062.

There's a Wild Brunch buffet at Planet Hollywood in Tsim Sha Tsui on Sundays from 11am to 3pm.

 While adults can enjoy the different buffet stations - salads, hot foods, pasta, carvery and fajitas - children 12 and under can gorge on kiddie fare, which includes mini-hamburgers, cheeseburgers and chicken fingers.

 There will also be magicians, face painters and games for the children.

 During July, when adults pay the regular buffet price of $170 plus 10 per cent, one child can eat for free (additional children pay $79). For reservations call 2377-7868.

There's a new wine bar upstairs at Staunton's Bar and Cafe in Staunton Street, Central. It has wines from around the world and a selection of wines by the glass.

 Guests who leave their cards will receive a complimentary membership to Staunton's Wine Club, which entitles them to free wine tastings and discounts at the restaurant. Call 2973-6611.

Sagano in the Hotel Nikko has a special weekend and holiday set lunch, with enough food for two to three people for $380 (plus 10 per cent). The set menu includes assorted sashimi, sushi, tempura, teppanyaki and dessert. For reservations call 2313-4215.

The Kowloon Shangri-La has appointed William Becker as executive chef. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and worked at Michelin three-star restaurants in France, as well as the Shangri-La in Surabaya, Indonesia (as executive chef), and as executive sous-chef at its hotel in Singapore.
