LSG Sky Chefs takes 60pc stake in gourmet firm Gastro Primo

The world's largest airline caterer, LSG Sky Chefs, has acquired a 60 per cent stake in Hong Kong processed-food producer and supplier of imported gourmet products, Gastro Primo, for an undisclosed sum. With worldwide revenue exceeding US$3 billion a year, LSG's core business is in aircraft catering. It also has operations in airport restaurants, industrial catering, concession catering and technical consultancy services. Gastro Primo is a food trader and a producer of pre-prepared and packaged food, serving hotels, restaurants, airline caterers, fast-food chains, industrial caterers and retailers. The company is planning to open up a new food-processing operation next year.
