The wine comes from vineyards around the town of Jesi in the Marches region of Italy.

Verdicchio is consumed in considerable quantities by sun lovers who flock to the Adriatic's beaches.

I must confess that when tasting most verdicchios my expectations are frequently low.

Many are simply standard crisp dry white wines with little character.

Podium is totally different.
