Producer prices dip

The producer price index for the manufacturing sector fell by 0.9 per cent in the first quarter from the same quarter last year. Producer prices in the consumer electrical and electronics products industry suffered the biggest slump, down 6 per cent. The producer price index fell 0.4 per cent compared with the fourth quarter of last year.
